St Andrews Hall Hire Fees applicable from 01/01/2018

      Hall Only

Minimum Hall hire without the use of kitchen first 2 hours (or part thereof) $90.00 plus G.S.T.

For more than two hours – $90 plus $35.00 per hour beyond the first 2 hours (plus GST)

      Hall and Kitchen 

Minimum Hall and Kitchen Hire – for first 2 hours (or part thereof) –   $110 plus G.S.T.

Hall and Kitchen for more than two hours – $110 plus $45.00 per hour beyond the first 2 hours (plus G.S.T.)

Please note these fees are negotiable for those wishing to use the hall on a regular basis.

  • A security bond of $100 will paid in advance to secure booking and will be returned to the hirer, after inspection of the facility
  • All rooms to be left clean and tidy, lights and heaters to be turned off and hall all external doors including toilet doors must be locked.
  • The hirer will be responsible for repair of any damage to property
  • All hire fees are to be paid within 30 days from receipt of the invoice or by agreement.
  • Minimum 24 hours – notice for cancellation, otherwise full fee will be paid.
  • All persons hiring any part of the St Andrew’s property for use other than church activities must obtain Public Liability Insurance cover for the activity.
  • A copy of your Public Liability Insurance to be submitted with this application.

We agree to abide by the rules and regulations of the Church Council. (See page 4 for additional conditions)

Conditions of Hire

      1. The church may at its discretion refuse to hire any church facility.

2.  All instructions issued by Church staff are to be adhered.

  1. The security bond shall be held as security against damage and cleanliness of the buildings, furniture or accessories, and as a guarantee for the fulfilment of the conditions herein contained.
  2. If the facility is left in an unclean condition or damage which caused by the hirer, the Church retains the right to withhold part or all, of the security bond towards any costs. If additional costs above the bond are required, an invoice will be issued for any cleaning or repairs.
  3. In addition, the security bond may also be forfeited to the Church should the hirer not comply with all the other conditions herewith
  4. The Church shall not be liable for any injury suffered, loss or damage sustained by the hirer or person within their group. The hirer hereby indemnifies the Church against any claim by any such person, firm or corporation in respect of any such claim.
  5. Where the Hall Hirer is running a children’s activity the leader or Leaders must provide a copy of a current ‘Working with Children Check’. Also, all hirer/s must meet the following legislations.
Children, Youth and Families Act 2005 (Vic.) Working with Children Act 2005 (Vic.)

Child Wellbeing and Safety Act 2005 (Vic.)

The Charter of Human Rights and Responsibilities Act 2006 (Vic.)

Family Law Act 1975 (Cth)

The Commission for Children and Young People Act 2012

  1. The hirer is to collect and return the key to the Church office. Arrangement for collection and return of the key is to be organised with the Church officer. Under no circumstances will the key be handed out prior to receipt of the full security bond.

 

9. The key is not to be given or loaned to any other party under any  circumstances  without the expressed permission of St Andrew’s Uniting Church, Bacchus Marsh.

 

  1. The permissible noise levels shall comply with the relevant requirements of the Environment Protection Policy. The hirer is to ensure that use of the facilities does not cause any disturbance to the peace and quiet of the neighborhood and shall request guests to leave the premises in a quiet and orderly manner.

 

  1. All music must cease no later than 12 midnight and the facilities are to be cleaned and vacated by no later than 1.00 am.

 

  1. Safety of those using the Hall is a priority and it is important that Fire Exit are kept clear at all times.

 

  1. Any equipment bought onto the premises by the hirer must meet safety standards and all electrical equipment must have a current Electrical Safety Tag.
  2. The hirer must take ALL rubbish away from the premises. The church rubbish bins must not be used for this purpose. Any use of the church rubbish bins will result in forfeit of the security bond.
  3. There will be NO SMOKING within 5 metres of any of the church building or children’s play area.
  4. Requests for ALCOHOL to be consumed on the premises must be approved in writing by the Church Council.
  5. There will be NO GAMBLING for financial gain at any function held on the premises
  6. All private functions a responsible for ensuring that any food served meets the requirements of the Moorabool Shire Food Safety Program.

Use of Grounds for Fairs, Fetes, Markets 

All persons hiring the any part of the St Andrew’s property for use other than church activities must

1. Follow the safety instruction access and parking guidelines.

2. Obtain Public Liability Insurance cover for the activity. A copy of your Public Liability Insurance to be submitted with this application.

3. No third – party advertising is permitted

4. No electrical products, unless current electrical tagging shown.

 

Products

The following products are acceptable to be sold.

  • Home – based food vendors must provide ingredient labeling and observe the Moorabool Shire Streatrader Guidelines.
  • Commercial food traders must be registered with the Moorabool Shire.
  •  BBQ – all equipment must be safety checked, food prepared and served according to the Moorabool Shire Streatrader Guidelines.
  • Sale of non-alcoholic drinks are permitted.
  • Secondhand Books, Magazines, records, CD’s, DVD’s etc. can only be sold if they are not R rated or seen to be offensive.
  • Pre – loved goods
  • Vintage and recycled clothing
  • Craft (candles, Knitting, Patchwork etc.)
  • Artwork
  • Jewelry
  • Trash and Treasure
  • Plant Trees and seedlings
